The Veronicas
So more photos, this time it’s The Veronicas at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, way back in December 2007.

It’s World Photography Day today, so why not dig up and re-edit some photos from the past when I did a bit of music photography around Newcastle seeing as we’re currently in lockdown and can’t go out and shoot anything new.
So here are a couple of shots of The Waifs at the Civic Theatre in Newcastle, way back in October, 2007.

So I get migraines now, how awesome is that!

Arsenal are going to need to work out how to defend from set pieces around the 18-yard box, and they’re going to need to work out how to actually score.
I don’t think Brentford were that good today…but Arsenal were definitely that bad!
Arsenal’s marking on that throw in was a joke, 2 at the back post wide open. Leno stuck in a wrestle, but no one comes to help. 🤯
Ugh…in the opening 5 minutes, Arsenal look like the team that was promoted to the Premier League, not Brentford. 🤦♂️
Arsenal’s first half against Brentford was a disgrace. There’s going to need to be a few changes at halftime, be it tactics or personnel, for the Gunners to get back into the match.
Today, it was announced that Newcastle and the surrounding areas will stay in lockdown for another week as the daily number of positive COVID cases are still too high. So I guess that gives me at least another week of home schooling fun. Yay…
It hasn’t all been bad though, I’ve been able to dedicate more time to the projects I’ve been working on. I’ve been able to dive into Saga: Compendium One, which is so good. I’ve also been able to spend some time playing with the video we’ve been capturing at New Lambton FC, which I’ll start sharing on New Lambton’s social media in the coming days.
At the moment, I’m guessing we’ll be in lockdown for at least 3 weeks. Hopefully I’ll be wrong!
This is one of my favourite shots this season, it’s of Tyson Cummings making some room for himself in the box against South Cardiff FC in the late afternoon sun during their Northern League One, Round 5 clash at Ulinga Oval, South Cardiff. New Lambton went on to win this match 4-1.
The end of the first week of lockdown in Newcastle isn’t too far away, however, with the rising numbers of local cases I can’t see it ending this week though. It doesn’t make a huge difference to my every day life during the week, the biggest difference comes on the weekends when there’s no football on, at least it’s letting me catch up on the backlog of editing that’s sitting in Lightroom currently.
Hope you and yours are staying safe wherever you happen to be.

I’ve noticed over the past couple of weeks that the advertising on Instagram has gotten even worse, it’s like scrolling through the old Sky Mall magazines, but the ads are so cleverly disguised, in most cases, that they appear to be someone you’re following.

It absolutely bucketed down for 5-10 minutes during the New Lambton versus Garden Suburb FFA Cup match tonight at LMRFF. The Eagles waltzed away 8-0 winners, and will now progress to the 4th round.
I love this poster, think I found it on r/weed.
We’ve had a flurry of new player signings at New Lambton FC in the last week or so since the WPL season wrapped up, one of them is Georgia Minors. The Club asked me to organise a signing announcement post for our social media, so we scheduled a quick shoot and here are the results.
Just got told off by a young Karen for flying my drone over a public park, with nobody in it, whilst I was doing a job for a client.
Apparently, being a licensed drone operator, with my radio handy to make sure there was no other air traffic in the area, wasn’t good enough…and I quote, “you can keep saying you’re a licensed pilot but it doesn’t make any difference, you’re not allowed to fly over a public park”.
Did I mention that there wasn’t anybody in the park whilst I was flying, until her dog ran in (off-leash, in a non-off-leash park, but I decided not to be that person) and started barking at my drone, which I then landed back where I took off?
Did I mention that it’s not illegal to fly in a public park where I live?
Did I also mention I’m a licensed drone operator?
All of the teams on the Northern League One side of New Lambton FC have made it through to the finals, and in the case of the 16’s and First Grade, they also won their Minor Premierships.
To celebrate the Minor Premierships, I designed up the following images for our Instagram and Facebook accounts. I’m pretty happy how they have turned out, particularly as I used the players names from each team to create the background.
And for our 13’s, 14’s, 15’s, 18’s, and Reserves, I made the below Instagram posts with their Preliminary Final game date/time information on them.
Football is almost over for the season and I just realised I’ve uploaded almost zero photos to my website this season, better pull my finger out!
Round 14 of the 2020 Northern League One season, played at Alder Park, New Lambton on Saturday 26th of September, 2020.
Somehow I’ve found myself in the role of Social Media Coordinator at Alder Park Sports Club, alongside sitting on their Board.
Anyway, here are a bunch of the posts I’ve completed recently on the Club’s Facebook, I’m still in the process of working out what will work on their Insta…
